Job summary

Amteck, a Top 50 Electrical Design-Build Contractor, is expanding its VDC team and seeks a Virtual Design & Construction Project Manager to drive BIM initiatives across electrical design-build projects. The role can be fully remote or based at our Lexington, KY headquarters or Greenville, SC office.

You will lead project planning, manage BIM workflows, review drawings, and collaborate with PMs, APMs, and stakeholders to ensure deliverables are accurate and projects run efficiently.

Qualifications

• Understanding of BIM/VDC principles and workflows.
• Experience in project planning and scheduling.
• Ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders and facilitate collaboration.
• Ability to lead and mentor teams, enforce safety protocols, and foster a positive working environment.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop BIM execution plans with LoD specs and standards.
• Manage BIM hours and project schedules with PMs, APMs, and Work Package Coordinators.
• Review new drawings to capture changes affecting BIM efforts.
• Maintain communication and collaboration with stakeholders to meet requirements.
• Ensure accuracy/quality of 3D models and deliverables using Navisworks/Open Space.
• Support best practices and develop VDC strategies for projects.
• Keep VDC workflows and Trello Blue Board up to date.
• Review installation drawings to ensure compliance with standards.
• Assist in evaluating and implementing new VDC technologies and workflows.
• Assist in setting up models for new projects.
