Job summary

Amteck, a nationally recognized Top 50 Electrical Design-Build Contractor, seeks a Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Project Manager to drive BIM excellence across electrical design-build projects. The role leads planning, execution, and oversight of VDC initiatives, with the option to work fully remote or from our Lexington, KY or Greenville, SC offices.

You will develop BIM execution plans, manage schedules, review drawings, ensure QA of 3D models using Navisworks, Open Space, and Bluebeam,

Qualifications

• Understanding BIM/VDC principles and workflows.
• Experience in project planning and scheduling.
• Strong communication with stakeholders.
• Ability to lead and mentor teams while enforcing safety.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
• Excellent time management and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Execution: Develop BIM execution plans, including LOD specs and standards.
• Project Schedule and BIM Hours Management: Review schedules and coordinate with PMs/APMs and Work Package Coordinators.
• Design and Construction Drawings Review: Review drawings to capture changes affecting BIM.
• Communication and Collaboration: Maintain stakeholder relationships and ensure requirements are met.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure accuracy and quality of 3D models using Navisworks, Liquid Cloud and Open Space.
• Process Improvement: Implement best practices and develop VDC strategies.
• VDC Management: Ensure VDC workflows and Trello board are up to date.
• Installation Drawings Review and Management: Review and submit drawings for approval.
• Technology Implementation: Evaluate and adopt new VDC technologies and workflows.
• Model Setup: Assist in setting up models for new projects.
