Job summary

Superior is seeking a VDC Coordinator (Remote) to join the VDC/BIM team. The role involves preparing 2D layouts for BIM, reviewing drawings and submittals, and coordinating with operations to resolve discrepancies.

You will contribute to BIM standards and participate in coordination meetings to ensure project success. Candidates should have 5+ years in electrical roles, experience with high/medium voltage systems, and familiarity with BIM tools like Revit, Navisworks and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• You have at least 5 years of experience as a commercial electrician, or electrical engineer.
• Experience with power distribution systems from 120V/480V up to 15kV including switchgear, panels, generators, UPS, raceways and transformers.
• Experience reviewing electrical design drawings, specs and equipment submittals.
• Experience in healthcare, data centers, industrial and/or higher education facilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D layout drawings for BIM modeling or field installation.
• Produce field installation and fabrication drawings.
• Generate panel pull sheets with circuitry and wiring information.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and submittals.
• Coordinate with Project Operations teams on submittals and discrepancies.
• Provide QA/QC reviews of installation drawings and BIM models for contract compliance.
• Support development of department BIM/Layout standards.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and technical committee meetings.
