Job summary

GovCIO is seeking an Integration Analyst/Engineer to support the VIPPS project for the VA OIT, focusing on integration, data migration, testing, and sustainment across enterprise systems. The role blends analysis with hands-on engineering to design mappings, APIs, and data flows within a secure government environment.

You will collaborate with a data integration lead, API developers, and SMEs to ensure accurate migrations, robust integrations, and adherence to security and compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in systems integration, data migration/conversion, API/interface development.
• Strong data and systems analysis skills.
• Ability to map source-to-target data and validate transformations.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON/XML, and OpenAPI/Swagger.

Responsibilities

• Support VIPPS implementation, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
• Collaborate with Data Integration Lead, API/Integration Developers, and SMEs to design system integrations.
• Perform data migration activities including profiling, mapping, cleansing, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and testing.
• Analyze source and target systems to derive data mappings and rules for transformation.
• Assist in API and interface development using REST, JSON/XML, OpenAPI/Swagger, SQL.
• Support API/integration testing with reusable automated tests where appropriate.
• Troubleshoot data-exchange issues and data-quality concerns with engineering teams.
• Document integration processes, mappings, and test results for sustainment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of integration processes and tools.
• Ensure activities align with security, compliance, and clearance requirements.
