Job summary

GovCIO is seeking an Integration Analyst/Engineer to support the VIPPS program for the VA. The role combines analysis and technical work in integration design, data migration, testing, and implementation.

You will work with API developers and SMEs to ensure enterprise data standards and secure, compliant solutions. Responsibilities include profiling and mapping data, developing source-to-target transformations, and contributing to automated testing frameworks while adhering to enterprise

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a technical field.
• 5+ years of experience supporting systems integration, data analysis, data migration, or API/interface development.
• Strong data and systems analysis skills.
• Ability to develop source-to-target data mappings and data transformation logic.
• Experience with REST APIs and enterprise integration concepts.
• Familiarity with SQL, JSON/XML, OpenAPI/Swagger, interface specifications, and data-quality controls.
• Ability to assist with integration engineering and troubleshooting as needed.
• Experience integrating Federal or VA enterprise systems and/or legacy-to-modern migrations.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of the VIPPS solution.
• Collaborate with Data Integration Lead and API/Integration Developers to design enterprise integrations.
• Perform data migration activities including profiling, mapping, cleansing, transformation, validation, and testing.
• Develop source-to-target data mappings by analyzing source and target systems and business rules.
• Assist in API/interface development using REST, JSON/XML, OpenAPI/Swagger, SQL and related technologies.
• Support API and integration testing by designing test cases and reusable automation.
• Troubleshoot data-exchange issues and ensure data quality across interfaces.
• Document integration processes, mappings, test results, and technical specs for sustainment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of integration tools and methodologies.
• Ensure activities align with security, compliance, and Public Trust requirements.
