Job summary

Dutch Ridge Consulting Group, LLC is seeking highly skilled, credentialed Outpatient Medical Coders to support Veterans Affairs facilities nationwide. This fully remote role requires accuracy, experience in outpatient coding, and eligibility for federal Public Trust clearance.

You will assign CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM codes for VA encounters, review documentation for compliance, apply NCCI edits, and query providers when clarification is needed.

Qualifications

• Active CPC certification required.
• Minimum 2 years outpatient coding experience.
• Proficiency with CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10-CM.
• Familiarity with federal VA/DoD or large health systems preferred.
• Strong understanding of documentation and queries.

Responsibilities

• Assign CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM codes for outpatient encounters.
• Review clinical documentation for completeness and compliance.
• Apply NCCI edits and resolve coding conflicts.
• Query providers when documentation requires clarification.
• Meet VA productivity and accuracy benchmarks.
• Maintain HIPAA and federal security requirements.
• Work effectively in a remote environment with communication.
