DaMar Staffing seeks a Medical Coder (Inpatient) to support Veterans Affairs medical centers nationwide. This fully remote role requires reviewing complex inpatient records and coding with ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and DRG codes, ensuring compliant documentation and accurate billing.

You will work with VA systems including VistA, CPRS, and PTF, maintaining high accuracy while meeting turnaround targets in a structured healthcare environment.

Qualificações

• Active professional credential: RHIA, RHIT, CCS or CPC-H; CCS preferred.
• At least 2 years inpatient facility coding experience including ICD-10-CM/PCS and DRG.
• Formal education in anatomy & physiology, medical terminology, pathophysiology, and reimbursement methods.

Responsabilidades

• Review inpatient records in CPRS and assign ICD-10-CM/PCS and DRG codes.
• Complete required PTF transactions per VHA guidance.
• Abstract clinical data and input into VistA using coding encoder.
