Job summary

Ruby Labs Ltd is seeking a UX Researcher to shape the player experience by turning research into product decisions. You will collaborate with Product, Design, and Data teams to ensure user needs guide decisions across the full lifecycle.

The role emphasizes high impact work, ambiguity handling, and the use of AI tools to surface patterns at scale. Remote-friendly startup environment with fast-paced growth and flexible contractor options.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of UX research experience with portfolio/case studies showing impact.
• Proficiency in wireframing/prototyping tools (Figma/Visily).
• Experience conducting user interviews, usability testing, and surveys (moderated and unmoderated).
• Familiarity with analytics/behavioral tools (Mixpanel, Hotjar, FullStory, GA).
• Strong analytical mindset; synthesize data into insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; present to non-research audiences.
• Advanced AI tooling experience to accelerate synthesis and pattern finding.
• English fluency.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute qualitative and quantitative studies across the player journey.
• Analyze user behavior using analytics tools, session recordings, heatmaps, and funnels.
• Conduct competitive analyses to benchmark UX against industry standards.
• Create wireframes, user flows, and prototypes to translate insights into design decisions.
• Develop and maintain player personas and journey maps for strategy alignment.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Dev teams to embed insights in the lifecycle.
• Document and present findings clearly to stakeholders; advocate for users.
• Promote UX standards and usability best practices across initiatives.
• Identify new research questions and drive continuous discovery.
