Job summary

NetImpact Strategies is seeking a mid-level UX Designer to shape intuitive, efficient experiences for AI Forge, a platform spanning requirements, architecture, verification, and software generation. You will collaborate with product, engineering, AI, architecture, and delivery teams in a fully remote, cross-functional environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in UX, interaction design, HCI, visual design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of professional UX design experience for complex digital products.
• Portfolio showing end-to-end product thinking from discovery to shipped outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of user-centered design, information architecture, visual hierarchy, and usability principles.
• Proficiency with Figma or comparable design tools, including components, variants, libraries, and handoff.
• Experience designing data-rich, workflow-heavy, enterprise, developer, or business apps.
• Ability to translate research findings into clear product decisions.
• Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design (WCAG-informed).
• Ability to communicate design decisions with evidence and work well in remote, cross-functional teams.
• US Citizenship with ability to obtain Federal Government clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own UX activities from discovery through validated design for assigned AI Forge capabilities and workflows.
• Translate complex software-lifecycle activities into usable product experiences.
• Design human-AI interactions that communicate status, sources, assumptions, confidence, limitations, and next actions.
• Create user flows, journeys, information architectures, wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready interfaces.
• Plan and conduct user interviews, workflow observations, usability studies, and design validation.
• Design review, approval, correction, comparison, versioning, feedback, and exception-handling experiences.
• Partner with product managers to clarify problems, refine requirements, prioritize opportunities, and define outcomes.
• Collaborate with engineers to evaluate feasibility, resolve tradeoffs, and support implementation.
• Contribute reusable components and accessibility standards to the design system.
• Use AI-enabled research and prototyping tools to increase speed while validating outputs.
