City of Longmont is seeking a Utility Operations & Maintenance Manager to plan, organize, and manage the operation and maintenance of the city’s water and wastewater systems. You will serve as Operator in Responsible Charge for wastewater collection and water distribution, coordinating with Public Works, Engineering, and other staff.

You will lead emergency response planning, safety programs, and capital planning while ensuring compliance with CDPHE and USEPA regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Water Quality Technology, Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Five or more years of progressively responsible management experience in utility operation activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage the operation and maintenance of the city’s raw water conveyance, potable water distribution and wastewater collection systems.
• Supervise staff and coordinate with other divisions and outside agencies.
• Identify technologies to modernize operations and ensure regulatory compliance.
