Job summary

Career Team is seeking a Payroll Systems & Tax Manager to lead US multi-state payroll and tax compliance while scaling a PH-based payroll team. This senior, people‑minded role reports to the VP of Human Resources and drives end-to-end payroll accuracy across 15+ US states.

You’ll own ADP Workforce Now expertise, manage tax registrations, and deliver executive reports to the C-suite. The position is 100% remote from the Philippines with night shift premiums and a strong commitment to growth and

Qualifications

• 8+ years of US multi-state payroll experience with at least 3 years in leadership.
• Experience building or scaling a Philippines-based payroll team.
• Deep expertise in US multi-state tax compliance (SUTA/FUTA, FICA, W‑2/W‑3).
• Advanced Excel skills for large data sets and modelling.
• Excellent written and verbal English for US‑based stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Comfort working night shift 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM PHST to align with US business hours.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and develop a Philippines‑based payroll team.
• Oversee full payroll lifecycle across 15+ US states.
• Lead withholding, filing, and reconciliation for state taxes.
• Own ADP Workforce Now and ensure system integrity.
• Register new state tax IDs and manage compliance obligations.
• Lead responses to federal/state tax notices and year-end reconciliations.
• Deliver payroll and compliance reporting to the C‑suite.
• Drive automation and scalable, audit‑ready payroll processes.
