Job summary

Talentedge is seeking a US Payroll Specialist to own the end-to-end US payroll process and collaborate with Finance, People, and external providers. The role emphasizes accurate, compliant, timely payroll delivery with opportunities to improve systems and automate processes using AI.

You will engage in month-end close, payroll accounting, and cross-functional projects to scale payroll operations for a high-growth technology company.

Qualifications

• Experience processing US payroll end-to-end.
• Strong multi-state payroll experience and compliance understanding.
• Experience performing payroll reconciliations at payroll and state level.
• Strong month-end finance exposure, including accruals, reconciliations and payroll journals.
• Experience preparing and processing payroll journal entries.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis).

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end semi-monthly US payroll accurately and on time.
• Manage multi-state payroll operations, including registrations, tax compliance, deductions and garnishments.
• Perform state-level and payroll-level reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Review payroll reports and validate balances prior to processing.
• Prepare payroll journal entries for month-end close.
• Support payroll audits and internal controls.
• Maintain payroll data integrity across HRIS platforms.
• Act as a point of contact for payroll queries.
