Job summary

Avalere Health is seeking a high-performing Consultant to join our US Market Access practice. You will lead complex workstreams, translate policy and market developments into actionable strategies, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver client solutions.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, with 4+ years in healthcare consulting. We offer hybrid/remote options and opportunities for mentorship and growth in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
4+ years of relevant experience in healthcare consulting, pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies, health plans, advocacy organizations, government agencies, think tanks, or similar with focus on healthcare.
Strong knowledge of the U.S. market access and reimbursement landscape, including payer coverage and utilization management, pricing and contracting strategy, and evidence/value requirements.
Demonstrated ability to translate complex policy analysis, research findings, and data into actionable business recommendations.
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects, including budgets, timelines, scope, and client expectations.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and executive audiences.
Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving capabilities with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Serve as a trusted subject matter expert on US market access, coding, coverage, reimbursement, and policy issues affecting pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, health plans, providers, and other healthcare stakeholders.
Monitor and analyze evolving federal and state policies, reimbursement dynamics, and market developments, translating complex changes into actionable implications, risk mitigation, and strategic recommendations for clients.
Lead qualitative and quantitative research to answer client questions and deliver actionable insights.
Translate market challenges into evidence-based recommendations for client strategy.
Manage day-to-day client relationships across multiple engagements and grow account opportunities.
Coordinate cross-functional teams and mentor junior team members.
