Job summary

Avalere Health is seeking a Consultant to join our Policy practice, focusing on vaccine policy and market access. You will work with vaccine-related clients and engage in regulatory analysis, evidence generation, policy analysis, and strategic recommendations.

The role involves leading multiple projects, mentoring associates, and collaborating with a vaccine team to deliver actionable insights and solutions in a fast-paced consultancy environment. Flexible hybrid/remote work is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in health policy, public policy, healthcare management, public health, public administration, health economics, business administration, or a relevant discipline.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in a healthcare consulting role, vaccine manufacturer, or similar company focusing on policy and market access, marketing, or commercialization for vaccine products.
• Knowledge of the U.S. vaccine policy and market access landscape and how it differs from other medical benefit drugs, including pricing, contracting, and reimbursement across Medicare, Medicaid, VFC, Section 317, Universal Purchase states, and Commercial markets.
• Demonstrated experience managing primary market research projects, including IDIs and advisory boards with payers, IDNs, public health providers, and other healthcare decision-makers.
• Experience in project management, including tracking budgets, adhering to timelines and client engagement.
• Solid communication skills (written and verbal) including the ability to concisely explain complicated concepts to executives within and outside of the firm.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert on statutory and regulatory, federal and state health policy-related issues impacting the pharmaceutical/ biotech sector, with a specific emphasis on vaccine policy
• Support and assist in managing project teams to help solve complex client problems and engage clients with novel solutions and ideas.
• Manage multiple clients, as well as short- and long-term deliverables, to ensure that Avalere's knowledge and expertise are available to meet client needs.
• Solve complex client issues in a timely and appropriate manner with minimal management oversight and attention to resources.
• Manage a defined number of Associates and serve as a mentor and resource for colleagues to grow their expertise and consulting skills
