Job summary

Prisma Health Urgent Care seeks a Remote Supervising Physician to oversee APPs, provide clinical guidance, and cosign documentation from SC locations. This role ensures compliance with state regulations and organizational standards while supporting APPs during supervision periods.

The position is fully remote, but candidates must reside in South Carolina and hold SC medical licensure with board certification/eligibility and DEA registration.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in South Carolina.
• Board certification or eligibility in relevant field.
• Current DEA registration.
• Experience with urgent care, family medicine, or emergency medicine.
• Ability to provide supervision and escalation of APP care.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight and supervision of APPs, including documentation review.
• Cosign APP notes as required by law and Prisma Health Urgent Care policy.
• Provide guidance on high-risk cases and escalation to higher levels of care.
• Participate in quality improvement and peer review activities.
• Support APP practice within scope of supervision.
