Job summary

WellStreet Urgent Care is seeking Remote Supervising Physicians to provide clinical oversight, consultation, and support to Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) across our urgent care network in accordance with SC laws and Prisma Health Urgent Care policies.

You will oversee APP practice, review high-risk cases, and guide evaluation and treatment plans, while maintaining compliance with credentialing requirements. This role emphasizes remote collaboration and team-based care.

Qualifications

• Must be board certified or board eligible and licensed to practice medicine in South Carolina.
• Current DEA registration is required.
• Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses.
• Experience reading diagnostic studies, including X-rays and EKGs.
• BLS certification (we will provide if needed).
• Meets credentialing requirements set by Prisma Health Urgent Care / WellStreet Urgent Care.
• Urgent Care, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical consultation and supervision to APPs during supervision or coverage periods.
• Cosign APP documentation as required by law or policy.
• Provide guidance for additional evaluation, treatment changes, follow-up, or escalation.
• Review and cosign APP documentation when required.
• Support newly credentialed APPs during orientation or enhanced supervision periods.
• Participate in quality improvement and peer review related to APP practice.
