Job summary

WellStreet Urgent Care is seeking a Remote Supervising Physician to provide clinical oversight and support to Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in South Carolina. The role requires a SC license, DEA, and experience in urgent care, family medicine, or emergency medicine.

You will supervise APPs remotely while being physically based in South Carolina. You will cosign documentation, review high-risk cases, and guide treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible and licensed to practice in South Carolina.
• Current DEA registration.
• Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses.
• Experience reading diagnostic studies, including X-rays and EKGs.
• BLS certification (we will provide this if needed).
• Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by Prisma Health Urgent Care / WellStreet Urgent Care.
• Urgent Care, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight, consultation, and support to APPs during assigned supervision or coverage periods.
• Review and co-sign APP documentation as required by law or policy.
• Provide clinical direction and recommendations for evaluation, treatment, and plan of care.
• Participate in quality improvement and peer review activities related to APP practice.
• Support APP practice within the provider’s scope of practice and supervising requirements.
