Job summary

Prisma Health Urgent Care is seeking a remote Supervising Physician to provide clinical oversight and support to Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) across centers. The role requires a SC medical license, board-eligibility/board-certification, and active DEA registration.

You will supervise APPs, cosign documentation, and guide high-risk cases while ensuring compliance with SC laws and Prisma Health policies.

Qualifications

• Must reside in South Carolina
• Board Certified or Board Eligible and licensed in SC
• Current DEA registration
• BLS certification (provided if needed)
• Urgent Care, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine experience preferred
• Strong communication with patients, families and team members

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight and supervision to Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
• Co-sign APP documentation as required by law and policy
• Offer clinical guidance on high-risk cases and escalation to higher level of care
• Review and support APP practice during orientation and supervision periods
• Participate in quality improvement and peer review activities
• Support APP practice within scope and physician supervision requirements
