Job summary

Prisma Health Urgent Care is seeking a remote supervising physician to provide clinical oversight and support to Advanced Practice Providers. You will ensure compliant practice, cosign documentation, and guide clinical decisions across centers during coverage periods.

Qualified candidates reside in South Carolina, are board certified or eligible, possess a valid DEA, and have urgent care, family medicine, or emergency medicine experience.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in South Carolina.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible.
• Current DEA registration.
• Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight, consultation, and support to APPs.
• Cosign APP documentation when required by law and policy.
• Provide guidance and review cases requiring physician involvement.
• Offer additional clinical support during orientation or supervision periods.
• Participate in quality improvement and peer review activities.
