Job summary

Leidos seeks a Unified Data Management Development Lead to drive data architecture, lakehouse patterns, and end-to-end data pipelines for the GSM-O II contract supporting DISA. You will lead design, development, and governance across a cloud-based data platform leveraging AWS IL5/IL6, Confluent Kafka, Elastic Stack, and Databricks, while guiding analytics, automation, and self-healing capabilities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience leading data-driven capabilities in complex environments.
• Experience with data lakes, lakehouses, streaming and batch processing.
• Strong knowledge of Confluent Kafka, Elastic Stack, and AWS cloud services; DoD cloud experience preferred.
• Proficient in DevSecOps, CI/CD, Jira/Confluence, and secure design for classified/unclassified environments.
• Ability to brief senior stakeholders and lead engineers in a fast-paced Agile setup.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical strategy, roadmap, architecture, development, and implementation of Unified Data Management capabilities.
• Define current-state and target-state data architecture for a secure, scalable cloud-based platform across AWS IL5/IL6 and related tools.
• Architect and lead data lake/lakehouse, streaming, and batch-processing patterns for diverse data.
• Design and guide data pipelines to ingest, normalize, enrich, catalogue, and share data across networks and services.
• Mentor engineers, drive technical decisions, and ensure data platform delivers mission value while meeting DoD cybersecurity and cost objectives.
