This remote/telecommuter role emphasizes developing reports, managing pricing and contracting, and partnering with sales and account teams to drive competitive results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field, or (4) years of work experience.
• (5) years of underwriting, regulatory, or health insurance consulting experience.
• Previous underwriting experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy management reports tracking financial and membership positions and contracts, using these to manage the business and report results to senior management.
• Manage underwriting, pricing, and contracting activities to ensure rates and policy provisions meet risks and profit objectives.
• Oversee underwriting processes to meet or exceed turnaround goals and objectives.
• Recruit, hire, and train high-quality underwriting teams; manage performance appraisals.
• Oversee budget processes for assigned cost centers per guidelines and requirements.
• Serve as primary internal contact for underwriting policy information across departments.
• Support sales and account management teams in internal and external presentations and negotiations.
• Develop pricing data and contract generation systems to support decisions with timely information.
• Assist senior management in sustaining long-term policies and procedures aligned with strategy.
• Monitor data from internal departments for content/accuracy and address issues.
