Premera Blue Cross in the United States is seeking an Underwriting Manager to lead a high-performing team and shape key priorities across the organization.

This remote/telecommuter role requires strategic underwriting expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to collaborate with sales and other departments to drive results.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field or 4 years of work experience.
• 5 years of underwriting, regulatory, or health insurance consulting experience.
• Previous underwriting experience.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and deploy management monitoring reports for tracking financial and membership positions.
• Manage underwriting activities to ensure adequate rates and policy provisions.
• Oversee underwriting processes to meet turnaround goals.
• Recruit, hire, and train underwriting teams and manage performance appraisals.
• Oversee budget process for cost centers.
• Serve as primary internal contact for underwriting policy questions.
• Support sales and account management in negotiations.
• Develop pricing data and contract generation systems.
• Sustain long-term policies and procedures to support strategy.
• Monitor data from internal departments to identify issues and solutions.
