Job summary

Philadelphia Insurance Companies, a member of the Tokio Marine Group, is expanding our Compliance team with nationwide consideration for an Underwriting Audit Specialist. This role blends remote and in-office collaboration to strengthen underwriting controls and regulatory alignment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in underwriting for a commercial carrier, a bachelor's degree, and strong data analytics skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years underwriting experience with a commercial insurance carrier.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of state laws and regulations regarding insurance.
• Ability to gather and interpret information to develop, recommend and implement solutions.
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits on new and renewal property and casualty policies for a wide variety of our niche products as well as ad-hoc big data analytics.
• Assessment includes the quality of risk selection, adherence to established underwriting guidelines and procedures, rating accuracy, data integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Compilation and distribution of audit results as well as review with Underwriting management.
• Data analysis to identify causal factors and to develop action plans for the corresponding business unit.
• Collaborate with Underwriting management in the implementation of recommendations including development of new or revisions to existing guidelines and/or processes, technological enhancements and training.
• Develop training programs including preparation of training materials and conducting training.
