Job summary

Philadelphia Insurance Companies, a Tokio Marine Group member, is expanding its Compliance team with nationwide consideration for an Underwriting Audit Specialist. You will perform audits on commercial property/casualty policies, evaluate risk selection and regulatory compliance, and collaborate on guideline improvements.

The role requires 3+ years of underwriting experience, a bachelor's degree, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• At least 3+ years underwriting experience with a commercial insurance carrier.
• Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge and understanding of state laws and regulations regarding insurance
• Ability to gather and interpret information to develop, recommend and implement solutions.
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational and planning skills
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits on new and renewal property and casualty policies for a wide variety of our niche products as well as ad-hoc big data analytics.
• Assessment includes the quality of risk selection, adherence to established underwriting guidelines and procedures, rating accuracy, data integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Compilation and distribution of audit results as well as review with Underwriting management.
• Data analysis to identify causal factors and to develop action plans for the corresponding business unit.
• Collaborate with Underwriting management in the implementation of recommendations including development of new or revisions to existing guidelines and/or processes, technological enhancements and training.
• Develop training programs including preparation of training materials and conducting training.
