Job summary

Oxford Risk Management Group is seeking an Underwriting Associate to support commercial casualty and ERM accounts. You will work with Underwriters to analyze information, prepare materials, and coordinate account activity from Sparks, MD, with remote options available in Maryland.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 1–3 years of Property & Casualty experience; equivalent education considered.
• Familiarity with Commercial Auto, CGL, and Excess Liability preferred.
• Ability to review policies, loss runs, and underwriting documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support Underwriters in new business and renewals, organizing documents and tracking requirements.
• Prepare underwriting materials, summaries, and analyses to support decisions.
• Act as liaison between Underwriters and other departments to bind, issue, or cancel accounts.
• Review submissions for completeness and respond to internal questions promptly.
• Maintain accurate underwriting files and documentation.
