Job summary

Southwire Company LLC is seeking a field technician focused on the safe repair and rejuvenation of medium to high voltage underground cables. The role involves operating specialized equipment, ensuring safety, and coordinating with circuit owners to perform testing and injection work on de-energized and energized cables.

Expect regular travel, pole-climbing duties, and adherence to OSHA safety rules. A CDL is preferred, and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Relevant work experience as a Lineman or Cable Splicer with current certification/d documentation.
• Experience with underground line work, URD, fault location and switching.
• Strong mechanical skills and ability to travel to Canada when required.

Responsibilities

• Repair and rejuvenate medium to high voltage underground cables using patented technology.
• Operate testing and injection equipment on energized and de-energized cables.
• Follow safety rules, OSHA guidelines, and coordinate with circuit owners.
• Travel regularly and climb poles as needed, while maintaining safety.
