Job summary

Southwire Company in Virginia is seeking a qualified Lineman responsible for the repair and rejuvenation of underground cables using specialized technology. Strong craftwork skills, safety commitment, and relevant certifications are required. Qualifications

• Experience with underground line work, including URD and fault repair.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable DMV record.
• CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe repair of medium to high voltage underground cables.
• Provide positive customer service.
• Operate company vehicles and equipment as required.

Skills

Strong Lineman underground craftwork skills

Basic computer skills

Understanding of basic construction skills

Safe work record

Ability to read circuit maps

Education

Current certification or documentation as a Lineman

Tools

TDR waveform and RF locating equipment

Injection equipment
