First Stop Health is hiring a Utilization Management Coordinator for a remote-first organization delivering virtual care across the United States. The role supports non-clinical utilization management, prior authorizations, care navigation, and case management while escalating clinical concerns to UM nurses as needed.

The position emphasizes strong communications, organization, and collaboration with providers and internal teams, ensuring timely access to care and accurate documentation in EMR

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of healthcare administration, utilization management support, care coordination, or related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Care Navigation and Member Support: serve as primary contact for members seeking assistance with navigation and education on plan processes.
• Prior Authorization Coordination: handle, review, and process incoming authorization requests and documentations.
• Administrative Case Management Support: coordinate post-acute services and track cases to completion.
• Provider & Internal Team Collaboration: liaise between providers, members, TPAs and internal departments.
• Clinical Escalation & Operational Excellence: escalate clinical concerns per protocol and maintain HIPAA compliance.
