Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a UT Service Engineer to deliver world‑class service and technical support for Ultrasonic Testing systems across North America. You will install, calibrate, maintain, and repair UT equipment, train operators, and drive equipment reliability while ensuring high customer satisfaction.

The role is based in Skaneateles, NY, with remote options for qualified candidates and frequent travel throughout North America, including occasional international travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or technology field from an accredited college or university.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical and/or electrical systems and/or devices.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively across North America and beyond when needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, calibrate, inspect, maintain, and repair UT testing systems across North America.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, automation, and ultrasonic testing equipment issues to maximize uptime.
• Provide operator training and serve as the primary technical contact during field assignments.
• Document service reports and certifications with accuracy and timeliness.
• Identify upgrade, spare parts and maintenance opportunities to improve long‑term reliability.
