Job summary

Cadrex seeks a U.S. Trade Compliance Specialist to support import/export compliance across its U.S. operations, ensuring adherence to EAR, U.S. Customs, OFAC sanctions, and other government requirements.

You will partner with operations, supply chain, procurement, logistics, engineering, sales, and customer service to facilitate compliant international trade while supporting business objectives. Remote with 10-15% travel; M-F schedule.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in U.S. trade compliance and import customs operations.
• Significant experience with free trade agreements, tariff classification, and valuation principles.
• Ability to manage projects in the trade space, e.g., FTZ feasibility, origin and tariff engineering.

Responsibilities

• Support export and import compliance activities across multiple manufacturing locations.
• Classify products, raw materials, technology, and technical data under the HTSUS, and EAR.
• Review shipments and transactions for licensing, exemptions, and documentation requirements.
• Conduct restricted party screening and sanctions reviews.
• Maintain HTS classifications, origin determinations, and customs records.
• Collaborate with customs brokers and freight forwarders.
• Monitor regulatory changes and communicate business impacts.
