Kiva invites applications for the U.S. Operations Intern role. You will work closely with the Operations team to support the U.S. program—from borrower applications to credit underwriting, fundraising, loan disbursal and repayment.

This 6-month, part-time, remote volunteer position offers a modest monthly stipend and exposure to microfinance concepts, data analysis, and cross-functional projects. Eligibility requires U.S. work authorization and availability Jan 12, 2027–June 30, 2027.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age by January 12, 2027.
• Able to commit to the full 6-month term.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsabilités

• Screen and assess loan applications with the review team.
• Support borrowers via text and calls during fundraising campaigns.
• Help manage delinquency and develop action plans with borrowers.
• Pilot process improvements to U.S. operations and tools.
• Collaborate with U.S. Partnerships to improve partner experiences.
• Contribute to internal/external reporting and storytelling initiatives.
