Kiva is a global nonprofit focused on expanding financial access. The U.S. Operations Internship offers hands-on experience supporting the loan origination and fundraising process for U.S.

borrowers, with a focus on operations and impact. You will gain exposure to data analysis, communications, and cross-functional collaboration. The role is a 6-month, part-time, remote internship based in the United States, with a stipend and opportunities to learn from a wide network of staff and partners.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old by January 12, 2027.
• Able to commit to full 6-month term.
• US work authorization required for internship.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with startup environment mindset.

Responsibilities

• Screen and approve loan applications with review team.
• Support borrowers via text and phone during fundraising campaigns.
• Manage delinquency and set action plans with borrowers.
• Pilot process improvements in operations.
• Collaborate with U.S. Partnerships to improve partner experience.
• Lead cross-functional projects to increase value for entrepreneurs.
