Job summary

Eastern New Mexico University is seeking a part-time Tutoring Center Tutor to provide one-on-one support to students in writing, math, science, and general academic skills in a peer-mentoring environment.

This temporary position is hired each semester based on need and includes documenting sessions, coordinating with Tutoring Center staff, and using remote tools as needed to support student success.

Qualifications

• Provide academic support to students in writing, math, science, or general academic skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic support to students at various stages of learning in at least one subject area (writing, math, science, or general academic skills).
• Support the Tutoring Center directors with planning, outreach, and other related tasks as needed.
• Ensure adherence to the Tutoring Center's policies and procedures.
• Utilize remote tools, such as video conferencing and phone calls, to assist students.
• Communicate effectively with students through email and phone.
• Accurately document tutoring sessions and input data as required.
• Actively engage in all tutor training sessions.
• Submit weekly reports to the supervisor.
• Predictable and regular attendance required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
