Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Database Engineer to provide subject matter proficiency for the USAF mission. The role focuses on analytics for process improvement, requirements, and architecture development, with a strong emphasis on database design and PostgreSQL expertise.

The position is remote and requires an active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Poly. Candidates should have 10+ years in database development, design, and architecture, plus experience with Enterprise DB and automated

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain CI Poly.
At least 10 years of overall experience in the functional area; Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s may substitute for 2 years).
10 years combined experience in: (a) Database development and software engineering/development; (b) Database Design and Data Modeling; (c) Requirements analysis/generation; (d) Developing systems and software architectures.
Must have 5 years' experience working with Enterprise DB.
7 years of experience with PostgreSQL.
Required Certification: DCWF Job Code: 421 Advanced
Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining automated installation scripts.
Demonstrated experience developing database solutions in a multi-tiered environment.
Role may require travel to a site 10-20% of the time.

Responsibilities

Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly.
Provide expertise in database development and software engineering to support DoD missions.
Develop requirements documents, functional models, and architectures as part of large projects.
Travel up to 20% of the time may be required.
Collaborate on enterprise-grade database solutions in multi-tier environments.
