Our client is a growing, employee-friendly logistics services provider, in operation since 1997, specializing in truck brokerage, intermodal services with direct contracts with all railroads, and offering specialized services such as carload management and freight movement out of port areas.

The Truck Brokerage Sales Executive is a key member of the brokerage division. This role is ideal for candidates with previous brokerage sales experience and strong Full Truckload knowledge. It involves a mix of Inside and Outside Sales (90/10).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop account relationships through calls and face-to-face visits at multiple levels within customer organizations
  • Cold call and sell into customer pipeline
  • Identify opportunities to deepen account penetration by selling a broad service portfolio
  • Design solutions and help customers address supply challenges through face-to-face interactions
  • Prepare pricing options with support from the account leadership team
  • Identify issues, seek input, and implement solutions
  • Sell transactional and contractual pricing models
  • Collaborate regularly with pricing and operations departments
  • Manage customer expectations using account metrics

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of freight brokerage sales experience or experience with a 3PL logistics provider
  • Entrepreneurial attitude, competitive spirit, leadership qualities
  • Strong negotiation skills (Carrier, Customer, Margin)
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable cold calling and lead generation experience
