Job summary

Reserv is seeking a Trucking Total Loss Adjuster to manage heavy‑duty and commercial vehicle claims within a remote‑first framework. You will review damage appraisals, assess repair feasibility, coordinate salvage, and settle totals with insureds, fleets, and vendors.

The role requires 3+ years in transportation claims, total loss experience, an active adjuster license, and willingness to travel. You will navigate state regulations, support subrogation, and help improve guidelines from anywhere

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; lack of one should not stop you if you have other qualifications.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in transportation claims adjusting.
• Total Loss adjusting experience with large commercial vehicles (trucks, buses, fleet).
• Active adjuster license in home state or designated home state; willingness to obtain licenses within 60 days.
• Knowledge of state regulations, policy provisions, and standard operating procedures.
• Commercial experience preferred.
• Ability to analyze and evaluate complex data and make sound decisions.
• Willingness to travel for client and claims needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous customer service to policyholders and claimants.
• Gather info from customers and fleet contacts to adjudicate claims and explain coverage.
• Manage an inventory of commercial auto and trucking claims and establish reserves.
• Coordinate salvage vendors and transportation providers for movement of damaged units.
• Identify subrogation and recovery opportunities in multi-vehicle incidents.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, motor carrier filings, and SOPs.
• Negotiate and communicate total loss settlements within approved authority.
• Contribute to claims guidelines and process improvements for trucking/logistics.
• Oversee external investigators, appraisers, and engineers to resolve claims.
• Learn about regulatory trends and policy updates affecting transportation claims.
