Job summary

Sammons Industrial is seeking an experienced Truck & Rail Technician 3 for remote-based roles in the United States. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining truck and rail equipment at customer sites and in the shop, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

Candidates should have 5+ years of hands-on experience with heavy equipment, a high school diploma or GED, and strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience repairing truck, rail, or related industrial equipment.
• High school diploma or GED; relevant training preferred.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and perform hands-on work.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain truck and rail equipment at customer sites and in the shop.
• Perform major component repairs, inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic welding per specs.
• Serve as a technical resource, train others, and support service leadership.
• Maintain accurate service documentation, parts, supplies, and safety/compliance practices.
