Job summary

Sammons Industrial, LLC is seeking an experienced Truck & Rail Technician 3 for a remote role based in Lubbock, TX. You’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and gas engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and related systems at customer sites and in the shop, while mentoring other technicians and supporting service leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience repairing truck, rail, or heavy equipment.
• High school diploma or GED required; trade school training preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain truck and rail equipment at customer sites and in the shop.
• Perform major component repairs, rebuilds, inspections, preventive maintenance, welding, and failure analysis following safety practices.
• Serve as a technical resource for fellow technicians and support service leadership.
• Ensure accurate service documentation, parts, supplies, vehicle care, and regulatory compliance.
