Sammons Industrial, LLC is seeking an experienced Truck & Rail Technician 3 to diagnose, repair, and maintain truck and rail equipment at customer sites or in the shop. This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and hands-on problem solving.

You will serve as a technical resource, mentor other technicians, and ensure accurate documentation while working in a remote-capable, hourly-pay environment. Applicants should bring strong mechanical skills and a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience repairing truck, rail, heavy equipment, or related industrial equipment.
• High school diploma or GED with valid driver's license; trades training and industry certifications are a plus.
• Own tools and ability to travel to customer sites for on-site or shop repairs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain truck and rail equipment, including diesel and gas engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform major component repairs, inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic welding per manufacturer specs.
• Document service work, manage parts and supplies, and uphold Briggs safety and DOT/OSHA standards.
• Share knowledge with teammates and support leadership in building a capable service team.
