Job summary

Sammons Industrial is seeking an experienced Truck & Rail Technician 3 to diagnose, repair, and maintain complex equipment at customer sites and in the shop. You’ll apply advanced diagnostic skills and collaborate with the team to ensure safety, reliability, and on-time service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience repairing truck, rail, heavy equipment, or related industrial equipment.
• High school diploma or GED; valid driver’s license; trade-school training and certifications preferred.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain truck and rail equipment at customer sites and in the shop.
• Perform major component repairs, rebuilds, inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic welding per manufacturer specs.
• Serve as a technical resource, train junior technicians, and support service leadership.
• Ensure accurate service documentation, manage parts and supplies, and comply with safety and DOT/OSHA requirements.
