Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions seeks a Texas Rising Star Mentor to coach Early Learning Programs (ELPs) remotely or in-person across an 11-county region. The role guides ELPs toward Texas Rising Star certification, supports quality improvement, and provides ongoing professional development and resources to providers.

You will maintain detailed provider files, explain contracts, and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and community partners to advance child care quality and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in one of the listed education fields.
• One-year full-time early childhood classroom experience.
• Experience in social services related to parents, children, and providers.
• Willingness to obtain Texas Rising Star Mentor certification.
• Knowledge of child care licensing standards.
• Ability to relate to diverse groups.
• Strong writing and records management skills.
• Willingness to travel regionally.

Responsibilities

• Provides coaching to support continuous quality improvement for ELPs, remote or face-to-face as scheduled.
• Maintain accurate and detailed case files for contracted Child Care Providers.
• Prepare and explain Provider Contracts to newly contracted centers.
• Partner with providers to develop Texas Rising Star CQIPs.
• Deliver professional development for continuous quality improvement.
• Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and staff to interpret child data and improve practices.
• Promote Texas Rising Star with partners and the public.
• Maintain provider caseloads per policy and guidelines.
• Complete documentation and data entry for contracted centers.
