Job summary

Maximus is hiring for Trilingual Mandarin/Cantonese Customer Service Representatives to join our New York State of Health (NYSOH) team. This is a remote opportunity requiring residency within 100 miles of New York, NY.

You will serve New Yorkers navigating health plans with high levels of knowledge and professionalism, supported by paid training and ongoing coaching. Fluency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese is required, with a focus on accuracy, empathy, and privacy in all interactions.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English and both Mandarin and Cantonese required.
• Strong communication and data entry skills.
• Ability to translate or interpret between languages as needed.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls from enrollees and the public per requirements.
• Process new health coverage applications via phone, including income and tax household details.
• Document inquiries and route to appropriate teams; maintain privacy policies.
• Provide translation support for non-English speakers and meet QA metrics.
• Attend trainings and stay informed about programs and systems.
