Job summary

CareXM is seeking a remote Registered Nurse (RN) to provide after-hours telephone triage for hospice and home health patients nationwide. This part-time role focuses on overnight and weekend coverage with a weekday evening schedule, supported by four weeks of paid training.

Applicants must hold an active RN license, have 4+ years of clinical nursing experience, and be fluent in English. Spanish helps; remote work requires a suitable home setup and reliable internet.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in a compact state.
• 4+ years of clinical nursing experience required; home health, palliative, med-surg, geriatrics, ICU, ER, hospice care preferred but not required.
• English fluency required; Spanish is a plus.
• Proficiency with computers and telecommunications equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Background check and drug test required.
• Must have at least 400 work hours in the last two years.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast access to quality after-hours RN telephone triage care to hospice and home health patients and caregivers.
• Communicate with empathy and understanding during difficult situations.
• Assess patient needs and provide appropriate care instructions.
• Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team.
• Document patient care in the electronic health record (EHR).
