Job summary

CareXM is seeking a remote Registered Nurse (RN) to join our early morning clinical triage team. This full-time remote role focuses on handling urgent patient and caregiver inquiries with calm, expert nursing guidance for home health and hospice partners.

The ideal candidate will hold an active RN license in a compact state, have 4+ years of clinical nursing experience, and be proficient with computers. Flexible hours including weekends are required, and training is four weeks long.

Qualifications

Must hold an active RN license in a compact state.
4+ years of clinical nursing experience required.
English fluency is required. Spanish is a plus.
Proficiency with computers and telecommunications equipment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
Must meet California RN prerequisites as outlined here.
Must have at least 400 work hours in the last two years.

Responsibilities

Provide fast access to quality, compassionate after-hours RN telephone triage care to patients and caregivers of hospice and home health partners.
Communicate with empathy and understanding, especially when callers are experiencing a difficult situation.
Assess patient needs and provide appropriate care instructions.
Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team.
Document patient care in the electronic health record (EHR).
