Job summary

St. Luke’s is seeking a Trauma Registry Specialist to manage the trauma registry, abstract data, and ensure accuracy in accordance with national and state standards.

This fully remote role supports quality improvement initiatives, regulatory reporting, and accreditation while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. You will work with physicians, nursing leadership, and quality teams to maintain data integrity, support benchmarking, and protect patient privacy under HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 2 years in trauma registry; strong preferred.
• Certifications: Must hold at least one of CSTR, CAISS, or SCR.

Responsibilities

• Maintain comprehensive trauma registry by identifying, abstracting, coding, and entering patient data.
• Collaborate with trauma program leadership, physicians, and clinical teams to ensure data integrity.
• Ensure compliance with ACS trauma registry standards and state reporting requirements.
• Perform data validation, quality audits, and regular registry maintenance.
• Generate reports and assist with benchmarking, quality improvement, and accreditation activities.
• Support trauma performance improvement with physicians, nursing leaders, and quality teams.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA regulations.
• Stay current on trauma registry standards and coding updates.
