Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall is seeking a Trauma Registry Specialist to ensure the integrity of the Trauma Program data and maintain regulatory compliance. The role involves generating statistics and reporting data from the Trauma Registry/PI databases to required entities.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree with experience in medical records, data abstraction, and knowledge of trauma terminology; NY RN license is preferred, with TNCC and related trainings considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Experience with medical records and abstracting data.
• Experience determining applicable procedures and response time as would typically be accomplished in at least one year as Trauma Registry Specialist.
• Quality management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and trauma-related clinical information.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Access.

Responsibilities

• Ensure data integrity of the Trauma Program and regulatory compliance.
• Generate metric-driven statistics and reportable data; maintain Trauma Registry/PI databases and report to required entities.
