Job summary

Benchmark Behavioral Health Solutions in Allentown, PA is seeking a licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our trauma-informed care team in a full-time role. You will assess and treat individuals affected by trauma, using evidence-based therapies such as EMDR and TF-CBT, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of 2 years post-licensure experience in mental health counseling.

Responsibilities

• Conduct trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate trauma history, emotions, and strengths.
• Develop and implement individualized trauma-focused treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based therapies such as EMDR and TF-CBT.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and social workers for integrated care.
• Offer crisis intervention and ensure patient safety.
• Educate patients and families on trauma responses and resources.
• Document encounters accurately in an EHR.
