Job summary

Scripps Behavioral Health in Kansas City, KS is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Therapist for a remote, full-time role serving trauma survivors.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or doctoral degree in a relevant field, is licensed in Kansas as LCSW/LPC/LMFT, and is proficient with EHR and teletherapy. You will perform trauma assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide individual and group therapy.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
• Current license in Kansas as LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
• Solid trauma-focused therapy knowledge and competencies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct trauma-informed assessments and establish treatment modalities.
• Develop and implement individualized trauma recovery plans.
• Apply evidence-based therapies (e.g., EMDR, TF-CBT) as appropriate.
• Lead individual and group therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other clinicians for integrated care.
• Respond to crises and provide immediate support.
• Educate patients and families on trauma responses and coping strategies.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation per legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and case consultations.
