Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrated analytical, business process and problem-solving experience.
• Experience engaging cross-functional teams to identify savings and design solutions.
• TMS experience strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and process skills; able to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement transportation strategies for on-time, cost-effective delivery.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to streamline shipping.
• Plan and schedule shipments based on production, orders, and inventory.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and logistics providers.
• Monitor vendor performance for quality and compliance.
• Oversee daily transportation operations ensuring safety and policy adherence.
• Manage transportation budgets to reduce costs while maintaining service quality.
• Apply KPIs to track and improve efficiency.
• Address delays, damages, and discrepancies promptly.
• Develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions.
• Lead and mentor transportation coordinators and staff.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance work environment.
• Provide training to enhance team skills.
• Leverage TMS and other tech to optimize routing and tracking.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
