Job summary

The First Church of Christ, Scientist seeks a Translations Project Coordinator in the Office of Language Services – Clerk's Office to arrange translations across languages and formats, including oral interpretation. Qualifications

• Fluency in one or more non-English languages is required, with Portuguese explicitly required.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in language studies, linguistics, translation studies, or related field; Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares translation jobs for vendors (freelance translators, reviewers, proofreaders, agencies) and tracks progress through to completion.
• Formats translations for publication per client requests.
• Proofs final copy and handles final payment entries.
• Evaluates workflow processes and suggests improvements.
